The Archivist's Guild

Situated in Caldissa, the Archivist's Guild was a community dedicated to recording knowledge of all kinds-- Digging for the past, and keeping watch on the present, all to help steer everyone towards the future. Vale, Caldissa, and Loupe-Garrine all agreed to host edifices for the guild, but Ilaren and the Sylvan Root had decided against it.

The Guild's purpose was not to hold a monopoly on information, but instead to make it public: its unique libraries were open to everyone (for a small fee), but nothing was to leave their archives. Certain works could be rescribed or copied-- in fact, most of the public works were perfectly acceptable to do so with, but there were sections of the archives that would require some kind of higher clearance or permission to enter.
