Nasmed

The village of Nasmed is divided cleanly in two between the Jakkai and the clan of blue deer that are there - though not out of cruelty. Aarindal’s experimentation was turned onto the blue deer after Thoril’s disappearance, and they live in constant pain and torment because of it. They were used to teleport the village of Nasmed to its current position on Kiristym, and have been abandoned there by Aarindal. The Jakkai have made numerous attempts to help the deer, but are unable to do much to alleviate their suffering. Due to recent events though, the tenuous peace is a little more unstable.

The Jakkai are doing well enough for themselves despite the odd circumstances, though many have gone missing since arriving in Kiristym. The village, due to being teleported, has been rearrange compared to how it was before. The Jakkai half of the village borders the forest of leafless trees, somewhat close to the large spiral lake in the center of Kiristym.

Xena’s home village.

“Finally off of Avistym. Next stop: Nasmed. I need to see home before anything else. It’s been so fucking long, I…miss them. I hope they accept me still,” -Excerpt from Xena’s journal

“…It feels weird to leave Nasmed so soon after visiting. But…I have a job to do. I have to kill Aarindal, and I have to make it back for my new naming ceremony. Before, I was certain the only reason why I was so insistent on getting Aarinda’s head was petty revenge. But after seeing what he did to the deer? How everyone in Nasmed thought I had died, how many people were lost in the transition? It’s not just revenge. I want him dead so he can’t hurt anyone else ever again. Ha. Back at playing hero again, huh Xena?” - Excerpt from Xena’s journal
