# Wyrmstym

Plate of Winter, located in the northeast of Simuhay

The furthest plate from Avistym, Wyrmstym is the Winter plate. Surrounded by an aurora that harms any not invited in, this plate is known to be the current location where Aarindal’s castle is.

It has three distinct layers, though so far only the middlemost one has been explored.

# Wyrmstym's Cradle

The middlemost section of the three-layer plate of Wyrmstym. It’s blanketed in massive snowdrifts that can cave in and bury you dozens of feet below the surface. So far, little of note has been found here - however, Team Thoril did fight a Remorhaz and one of Sah’reii’s shoosuvas at what appeared to be a memorial site that has now been consecrated.

The snowdrifts have strange patterns of solid ground that spread out like a mycelial network. Any dead bodies are swiftly covered in the snow and likely consumed by whatever microscopic organisms or magic that causes this phenomena.

“There is fucking nothing here besides giant pissed-off ice bugs and Sah’reii’s stupid fucking animals. Still don’t get why everyone’s acting like it’s freezing cold here though. It’s pleasantly cool!” - Excerpt from Xena’s second journal

At the topmost layer of Wyrmstym, there is a village of Arathan construction. This village is inhabited exclusively by blue-scaled Arathans…blue-scaled Arathans that formerly served as vessels for Aarindal.

At the center of the village is a cathedral with blown-out glass windows. Inside is an array of magic paintings of each of the potential inhabitants of this village.
