Incarnations and personifications of the fundamental forces that shape the Material Plane.

Fundamentals
A Fundamental is the true, unchanging embodiment of a physical law, created by mortals through the mere attempt to understand such an enormous idea. Despite their existence being rooted in mortal perception, their pure and total nature is completely alien to mortal understanding.

Chaos
The Fundamental associated with the immutable presence of entropy. They choose to take the form of a small fennec fox with a purple pelt. Chaos has the ability to grant mysterious abilities to those they deem worthy, but many who have tried to receive these gifts are punished for their hubris. They are able to create abrupt dissonance with just the touch of their fingertips. Chaos considers Order as a brother, speaking of them as a long-lost other half. 

 Solarian records record a previous incarnation of Chaos as less of a sentient individual and more of an unfathomable object, known as the Dark Star. The Dark Star eventually shattered, sending shards of pure chaos throughout the lands of Simuhay - one of which ultimately served as a conduit that allowed Jeb, Llewellyn, and Cecil to gain the Fundamental’s blessing.

Order
The Fundamental associated with the immutable presence of order in reality. Little else is known about them, beyond being Chaos' brother.

Time
The Fundamental associated with the constant passage of time. Little else is known about them.
